BRIEF HISTORY OF WARRIOR BASEBALL
Edmonds-Woodway High School was formed in 1991. Edmonds High School was torn down and the schools were combined on the Woodway campus. In 1998 the school was relocated to the new campus, which is built on the site once occupied by old Edmonds High School. Baseball has a great deal of tradition in the Edmonds area, and the history of Edmonds, Woodway and Edmonds-Woodway High Schools give the Warrior players a past to be proud of and a legacy to live up to. Since 1960, the three schools have won a combined 16 league titles and 1 State Title (Woodway – 1979). In the 13 seasons that the schools have been combined, the Warriors have gone to the playoffs 12 times, won 3 division titles (1996, 1997, 2004), and appeared in 4 regional finals (1997, 2004, 2007,2011). Though the first State Title for Edmonds-Woodway has yet to come, the Warrior players have a solid foundation of baseball success upon which to build!
