EWHS Wins the First Game of a double Header Versus Mariner

Edmonds Woodway shut the door early on Mariner, capturing an 8-1 victory on Friday at Mountlake Terrace.

The game was decided quickly as Edmonds Woodway exerted its will early with seven runs in the first three innings.

Edmonds Woodway got its early runs on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Budnick and an RBI single by Patrick Bernard in the first inning and a three-run home run by Austin Jones in the second inning.

Four Edmonds Woodway runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Jones.

 Edmonds Woodway’s Bernard and Jones combined for five hits and six RBIs.

Bryce Mezich shut down Mariner limiting them to 2 hits over 5 innings with Tate Budnick shutting the door from there.
